Take about one knuckle's worth and warm it thoroughly between your palms, since oil-based formulas need the heat to spread evenly. Work it through dry or towel-dried hair from the crown to the front, then comb into shape. Because it's oil-based, a degreasing shampoo makes washout much easier.
