The hot saponification process transforms oils and fatty acids into a refined soap free of any residual aggressive substances - what you get in the tube is a fully matured, skin-compatible cream that produces a stable, cushioning lather. Applied with a brush, it raises the beard hair for a cleaner cut while laying down a protective film between skin and blade that meaningfully reduces drag, friction, and post-shave redness.

Dampen your shaving brush thoroughly. Squeeze approximately 2cm of cream into the damp bristles and work it into the beard using circular massage movements. Build to a dense, creamy lather directly on the face. Shave as normal.
