Vitamin C Serums

Vitamin C: A Powerhouse Antioxidant

Vitamin is an excellent ingredient that should be featured somewhere in your skincare ritual. It’s an antioxidant and protects your skin against free radical damage caused by UV rays and the sun damage they can cause, as well as helping to repair the damage caused by these factors.

In addition to protecting and repairing your skin, Vitamin C also promotes collagen production, which can minimize fine lines and firm your skin. It evens out skin tone where damaged skin, acne scars or other skin issues may may have left your skin tone uneven. It contains anti-inflammatories so it can help reduce redness and inflammation from acne, and repair acne wounds. Vitamin C can also give you a brighter complexion.

A serum featuring Vitamin C is an easy way to incorporate this ingredient into your routine. It would be applied after cleansing and before moisturizing. Vitamin C serums vary in concentration, some being more potent than others. Serums which much higher concentrations will typically be focusing on Vitamin C as the core ingredient, compared to other serums which may contain other ingredients with different benefits. Vitamin C in your fruits and vegetables will benefit your skin as well! Citrus fruits, tomatoes, strawberries, peppers and more, are all packed with Vitamin C.
