Good Product

It lathers well and my hair doesn't feel dried out when using it.

Correction

I reviewed this yesterday and ranted about the surprise peppermint smell. I just realized I got that wrong. I have three shampoos in the shower right now which I transferred to 3 generic containers. Turns out the one I thought was Jack Black actually isn't, but is another brand's surprise peppermint smell. Embarrassing.

This one smells mildly citrus-like, but maybe a little sweeter if that makes sense.

Basil + Lupine = Peppermint??

No complaints about the shampoo. It does the things that shampoo should do: lathers and cleans. The lather is also pleasantly viscous, so points there for Jack Black. No idea if it thickens, but I wasn't really paying attention to that.

My only gripe is that the bottle doesn't indicate it smells like peppermint. If I had bought it in-store I would have known this. But I ordered online. I have nothing against the peppermint smell, nor producers of peppermint, nor peppermint enthusiasts, but it just seems to me that 30% of men's products all smell of peppermint (don't hold me to that percentage...I'm using it as hyperbole). I wouldn't have bought it had I known that because I have enough surprise-peppermint products in my shower.
