Kaolin/China Clay Is soft white clay named after the hill in China (Kao-ling) where it was first mined. Used for centuries to make Chinese porcelain when kaolin is mixed with water it can be molded under pressure, the shape is retained after the pressure is removed making it a fantastic base for styling clay – thanks Coltrane.
Beeswax - Made by our humble little friends to raise and nourish their young, the benefits to our hair are plentiful. Visually it adds texture and volume making it appear stronger and thicker which means it is easier to mould and style. My hair is THICK…
I spent a lot of time and money searching for products over the years that would hold my hairstyle in place and nothing worked. But then I found the Coltrane Clay! Not only does it hold your hairstyle in place for hours but it gives you a nice natural look (no shine).
I hear a lot of reviews complaining how the wax dries out too quickly, this is true. But if you put it in a ziplock bag it will last you months without drying out. Easy fix.

I love this stuff --- a keeper. Its clay. It smells like clay and acts like clay. Its freaking clay. But it can really makes long hair look cool. I have pretty long wavy hair. Without hair product, it looks insane --- not in a cool way, just clown-like. With the wrong hair product, it looks heavy and greasy and lifeless. But, this stuff is great! Its clay so my hair can be reshaped throughout the day but its not heavy and very wearable. I strongly recommend it for thick course hair that wants to do its own thing. I would have preferred if it had a nice aromatic smell, but who cares. My girlfriend doesn't even spend all day smelling my hair. Its a nice neutral odor so is perfectly acceptable. She really likes the way it makes my hair look so bonus! Get it, its a much better alternative to pomenade. It also has a natural shine: not artificial. You just have to add some water when it starts to dry out and its good to go.
