Ideally apply to your damp or dry, clean beard. Using the back of your thumbnail extract a small portion of balm & warm by rubbing in the palms of your hands. I love this product, I tried Private Stock before this. I also liked that, but I find that the Booze and Baccy holds the shape of my beard better, and is a lot less goopy. I would highly recommend.
