Top tips for a simply marvellous shave:

  • Use a traditional shaving brush
  • Wet brush with warm water
  • Brush in a stirring & churning motion over shaving soap to create a luxuriant thick lather
  • Apply lather to beard to lift & soften the hair

Great shaving creme alternative

I'd never used shaving soap and I'm glad I ventured and bought captain Fawcett's. The scent is amazing, deep notes, masculine, woody, incense like.

The texture is great and protects my skin. I use a brush with it.

The wood box it comes in is beautiful and enhances how my side of the vanity sink looks like

Oh and it will last a long time so value for price is 10/10

I'll buy the refill for sure

Pure Luxury

This luxurious shaving soap is worth every penny. It is a good size and and I expect it will last a very long time, especially as I only shave my neck. Good lather and a very masculine scent, with patchouli and other woodsy notes. The soap is beautifully packaged in a special wooden box that I'm sure can be reused in the future.
