It kind of works...

I wish it was a bit bigger and less harsh due to the alcohol, but I use it as a spot treatment and it does work. Don't use too much otherwise it dries your skin and follow with moisturizer.

Effective treatment

Two years ago I made the switch to traditional wet shaving and ditched cartridge razors. I had lots of issues with ingrown hairs when I used cartridges and I have fairly coarse curly facial hair that even using safety razors and quality shaving soaps and creams, I still get them from time to time. I always reach for this product if I developed any ingrowns or need a spot treatment for irritation on the sensitive areas on my neck or jawline - I notice an improvement over as little as 2 applications and improved skin condition overall with quicker healing time and a reduction in hyperpigmentation/redness in the affected areas.

While it is alcohol based, I don't find it to dry out my skin most likely due to the host of skin foods included - I do follow up with a balm or moisturizer as recommended anyways for an excellent post-shave remedy for those times you have ingrowns. Another positive is it has a pleasant scent that dissipates quickly so it won't clash with other post-shave scents or a cologne. It is not cheap, but my bottle has lasted me over a year so used sparingly for spot treatments it is a decent value.

Helps a bit

Reduces the number of ingrown hairs on my neck, cheeks, chin but only marginally. Product contains alcohol, which dries out your skin and that can be a cause for ingrown hair.

I won't use anything else

Guys who have curly and course hair and get a lot of ingrown hairs should try this. It is a perfect spot treatment after shaving or before bed after cleansing and toning your skin. What I like most is that it dissipates after about 5 minutes and doesn't leave a sticky film as long as you don't use too much. Once it dries you can moisturize right after.

Works very well

I'm very prone to ingrown hairs particularly around the beard/neck/jawline area where I shave. It was causing problems for me because they would sometimes swell up to giant bumps making me reluctant to shave. This product works wonders. The instructions tell you to apply it in the AM and PM and it basically just brings your ingrown hair to the surface of the skin so that you can pop it like a pimple so that you are not touching it all day wondering when it will be ready. Definitely a bit pricey but I think it's done a good job so far. 90ml doesn't seem like much but you really don't need much if you're just doing a spot treatment. I mainly chose this product because it came in a pump format as I had read that sprays can get kind of messy and drip everywhere.
